Sunbelt responded to gasoline tanker truck accident that resulted in a 2500-gallon gasoline release, with the contents of the tanker draining directly to the subsurface at a right-of-way location in Lawrence County, Missouri. Sunbelt responders opened or “cold tapped” the tanker compartments for transfer of remaining gasoline to transporters. Excavation of 250 cubic yards of soil for disposal at landfill was completed and a soil vapor extraction system operated for removal of subsurface gasoline vapor.
